First entry...

So, I was having trouble sleeping (shouldn't have taken that nap this afternoon... for multiple reasons) and was surfing the web so I randomly decided to start a blog. No idea why.

So, a little about myself. I am a 20 year old Elementary Education Major in a small private college along the Mississippi River. I've lived in the area for a while, so I'm a midwestern girl and an Iowan through and through. Still, unlike the stereotypical Iowan girl, I've never lived on a farm. I've had a very suburban like lifestyle. Not that there is anything wrong with the farming lifestyle (without it, we'd all starve...obviously), I just wouldn't want to mislead you. In fact, the first time I saw a rooster up close, I was in Hawaii! I'm pretty spoiled, living where I live. I don't have to go too far for anything I want to do. And the weather isn't usually too bad. Of course, it's currently terribly cold, but hopefully it will begin to warm up as it turns into spring.

I'm currently in a Geography class about weather and climate, so you may see some records of the weather outside in this blog. My weather widget on my computer says that it is 15 degrees outside right now. Yuck. It also says that it's supposed to snow tomorrow (today actually as it is 3am).

I just realized that it is January 31st. That's pretty amazing news, because it means that Lost (my recent obsession) is going to be on tonight. I just started watching the show a few weeks ago, but I've already gone through all of the 3 seasons that were on abc.com. This obviously tells you a bit about my social live... or my study skills. I really need to get out more and do things.

I should probably try to sleep again as I should be awake in 5 hours at the latest. Unfortunately, I don't seem to be at all tired. I'll try to update soon!
